Janes Kilimanjaro Challenge.
I am currently raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Like many people my family
was affected by cancer when my Mum died just over 5 years ago. Marie Curie were fantastic
to her and to us with their continual support during a really hard time. Even after
my Mum was gone they still provided us with support and warmth.
I have chosen to sign
up for Mount Kilimanjaro because it will be a feat my Mum would have been very proud
of.
I could have signed up for a trip to Kilimanjaro without going through Marie Curie,
however, i thought 'why not do it for them and raise money for them along the way'.
Between my partner and I, we have signed up to raise £7500 for Marie Curie, it has
been hard work fundraising and training but it makes me happy to think that the money
will help someone who is in the position my Mum was 5 years ago.
